I didn’t set out to create something magical. But sometimes, magic just finds you.
At the start of 2025, I began R&D on what would eventually become one of our most special creations: The Beautiful Experience Bar. At the time, it didn’t have a name. In fact, our first few test batches were so potent we jokingly called it the “Mystery Bar.” One afternoon, a few friends and I sampled what we thought was a one-gram chocolate but it turned out to be closer to two. Let’s just say… it lived up to the name.
But the real story began a few months later.
It was October in Steamboat Springs. The leaves had turned that golden-orange hue that makes Colorado autumns feel like a dream. Crisp air. Painted mountains. And the three of us, wrapped in blankets, curled up on what we call the Magical Porch a wide wooden deck that overlooks the entire valley.
We each took two to three squares of the chocolate bar. The sun was just starting to sink, casting golden light through the aspens. It was quiet in that sacred kind of way. And slowly, gently, the experience began to unfold.
There was no “blast off.” No rush. Just a welcoming drop-in. A warm wave. It felt like a soft, steady opening, like the mountains themselves were breathing with us.
One of my friends is deeply somatic. She feels everything in her body. She kept saying it felt like her whole nervous system was experiencing gratitude. Not just feeling grateful, being grateful.
My other friend is a blend, both somatic and visual. But this time, her experience leaned almost entirely somatic. She felt it in waves through her chest, her arms, her breath but there were no closed-eye visuals for her this time. The colors of the trees, the sky, the mountains were vivid for all of us, but hers remained grounded in the body.
And then there was me.
I’m a visual person. I always have been. Even with small doses, my mind tends to paint in technicolor. And that day, it did.
While we were all experiencing deep embodiment and presence, I also had vivid closed-eye visuals fractal patterns, warm golds and pinks, visions that danced like they were part of the landscape itself. But even for me, the somatic layer was strong. It felt like my body was saying thank you, like every cell was humming with presence.
We laughed. We cried. We sat in stillness. We talked for hours.
It was a beautiful experience.
And that’s how it got its name.
There was no better way to describe it, this experience we shared, this moment that felt like we were cradled by the mountains, by the medicine, by each other. It was beautiful. Fully. Truly.
What makes this bar so special? I don’t know if it’s the combination of Golden Teacher and Penis Envy mushrooms, the Lion’s Mane for clarity, or the Dopa Mucuna (which increases dopamine in the brain and helps regulate mood)… or maybe it’s the way they all work together to create a heart-opening, joy-filled, deeply somatic journey.
All I know is: it’s different.
And I hope you get the chance to experience it too.
Whether it’s with friends, wrapped in a blanket under the trees, or with yourself in a sacred pause, the Beautiful Experience chocolate Bar is exactly what its name promises.
A beautiful experience.
